Mobile applications

Hello, I'm Kenny Mais

In 1992, I began tinkering with Development. I became so intrigued by the things I could build, that it kept me up late at night just thinking of new ideas. In that time frame, the web was just becoming popular. In the mid-90s, browser developers began establishing standards between all the browsers. These standards essentially allowed developers such as myself to create functionality that could work consistently across multiple browser platforms. Organizations such as the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), were created. Today, we've come a long way. Browsers are much more advanced and provide means to deliver compelling and engaging content that is also secure to manage and store critical content. Our audience expects to be not only entertained but informed and secure.

As I started to explore my new skills and building small applications as a form of experimentation, I found myself more and more curious how I could use my new interest to build useful productivity tools and learning other skill sets that augmented my applications. Such as database design, and graphics design.

Over the years, my actual career was in Telecommunications. Nevertheless, I found that the skills I was developing would allow me to build tools that would be of enormous use to myself, my peers and our customers.

Building tools, such as inventory management for deployment projects, tracking material from purchase to installation eventually became my primary function. As we perfected these tools, we eventually began to build the very same tools for our customers, The tools involved building mobile applications which were tied to reports that management teams could view on their portable devices or their desktops in a standard web browser in realtime making it possible for management to make changes required to meet daily productivity goals.

Today, web development of similar tools for improved productivity and resource management have become commonplace. Whether in the cloud or as dedicated applications custom designed towards customers and users typical workflows, productivity and access to current and realtime data have been my passion for the past nearly 30 years.

Today. I'm a freelance Developer. Using my experiences from the past 30 years, I have the ability to understand customer needs and exactly how to translate that into a design across a wide variety of use cases. My strengths in managing Data-Intensive tools, coupled with UI and Graphics designs, provide me with the best foundation for creating strong, compelling, and engaging results.
